Dear Faithful Friends,

It´s Worth It All

In June of 2008, we began the last of our church planting endeavors in the city of Cornélio Procópio.  It was a difficult work because the city is filled with all types of evangelical churches.  Two weeks ago, the church celebrated nineteen years of ministry in the city of Cornélio.  We praise the Lord for having had a part in this small but steady light house for the Lord.  Below are some pictures of the original group and the anniversary celebration.  We hope it will bless you to see what your prayers accomplished.

Health

We want to thank you for your continual prayer for Linda’s health.  God has been good, and the pulmonary fibrosis appears to be under control.  However, she is now being treated for pneumonia.  The two are not related but she needs additional prayer.  We believe that there are no accidents with the Lord, and He has a reason in all that happens to His children.

Website

Thankfully, the website has been set up, and it can be opened in Brazil.  Using the tools available on the internet, everything on the blog can be translated immediately and read by our Brazilian people.  We will continue to improve the site, to make it more practical.  Currently, our personal testimony, a weekly blog, our doctrinal statement, and a calendar of our scheduled meetings are available.  We hope that the site will be a blessing to all who take the time to look it up.

Special Praise

1. On June 21, Linda celebrated 80 years, of which, 73 have been as a child of God. The past 54 years have been dedicated to the service of the Lord.
2. In August, we are going to Brazil for our granddaughter, Melissa´s, marriage to a wonderful Christian man.
