Newsletter - April 2025

    Dear Faithful Friends,

    Google Meet Study

The study in the book of Genesis over the internet with a regular group of 12 Brazilians has been a real blessing.  Both students and teacher are becoming more accustomed to this method of study.  The students are beginning to ask questions and make comments.  There is a certain amount of intimidation when you consider the fact that you are communicating by way of a camera and not an actual person.  It is still amazing to think that we are meeting together with so many miles between us.  We thank the Lord for this means of being a blessing to those who are so far away and are asking the Lord to open more doors to do so.

    Ministry Opportunities

We are thankful for the privilege to have been meeting with some of the men of our sending church for a Bible study on Tuesdays.  Interestingly, the study has been in the book of Genesis.  It has been a blessing to be with these men who desire to know more of God’s word.

Don is participating in a missions conference at the Second Baptist Church in Ponca City, OK, from April 10 to 13.  Our prayer is that other similar opportunities will open so that we can be a blessing and encouragement to God’s people.  The Lord is opening doors for us to continue our ministry both here and in Brazil.

    Special Blessing

In February, we were able to go back to Brazil for a couple of weeks to be present for our granddaughter Melissa’s graduation from the University of Ribeirão Preto.  While we were there, we were able to visit with some of our ministerial friends.  Don also preached in two services.

    New Website: donleaf.com

We have been working on getting a website together in order to make study materials available to those who would be interested.  These materials will be both in English and Portuguese.  There is a calendar on which our schedule will be posted, and information concerning our ministry, both past and present, will be available.  Right now, the site is a skeleton upon which we hope to be building in the next few weeks.

Thank you for your prayers and interest as we carry on the ministry that the Lord has given us.  Our God is so good and gracious to allow us to have friends and brethren such as you.
